April 1st came and went…and then so did May 1st! Usually we’re pretty good about updating our little News page here. But things have been SO hectic! Rules have been changing SO fast! And everyone is SO EXCITED to be out and drinking and making believe the damn pandemic is OVER!
We’ve been celebrating every little victory, every new shift in protocols, every warm day. But mostly we’ve just been CELEBRATING! As we LOVE to do! We’ve been welcoming back all our regulars and minting a few new ones. We’ve been celebrating birthdays and holidays. We’ve shared songs and poetry, books and record albums, swapped clothes and watched fashion shows. We are VERY excited for the Summer! Especially if YOU join us! Cheers!
Yesterday was our Grand Reopening bash! And the Lucky weirdos came out IN FORCE, thrilled to be freezing in the snow flurries! The gazebo is almost done. The beer taps are flowing again. And it is SO GREAT to be listening to our amazing jukebox! We can’t WAIT to see you! Slainte!
And it’s almost been a full year of our global nightmare. How wonderful that there is a bright light at the end of what once felt like an endless tunnel! If you’d like to read some good news, The Atlantic has been a consistent voice of reason and hope. We know SO MANY people who’ve already received their vaccine! Each one is, quite literally, a shot in the arm! Bar and restaurant employees are eligible so we are on our way to being inoculated. Let’s celebrate each step toward herd immunity...or whatever.
