Lucky on B

168 Avenue B NY NY 10009 • Noon-4am

Happy February!

Rabbit, rabbit! Joyous Imbolc! And Happy Black History Month! We hardly know what day it is, much less what month. What we DO know is that we will be hibernating until NEXT month! For February, you’ll have to enjoy us in your memories. And perhaps by treating yourself to some Lucky merch?

We are participating in the East Village Independent Merchants Association’s Share Your Love promotion. All month long, East Village residents are encouraged to show some love to their local small businesses! Since we are currently closed, you can support us by purchasing something emblazoned with the Lucky logo. Place your order now and we will have it for you at our Grand Reopening.

While We're Hibernating, Visit Our Friends!

While we are closed for the winter, we’d love to have you visit our friends in the neighborhood! Please stop by one of these places for the adult beverage(s) of your choice and tip generously! Make sure to check before you head to ANY bar or restaurant, since who knows what the hell is happening from one day to the next!

2A
Avenue A & East Second Street
This is the first East Village bar I ever went to and it’s still one of my favorites. Their outdoor drinking set-up is awesome, as are the bartenders!

Dream Baby
162 Avenue B between East 10th & 11th Streets
They’re our next door neighbors (sorta). They have cozy outdoor seating and play great music.

Maiden Lane
Avenue B & East 10th Street
When the pandemic first started, Gareth really saved our asses by offering the best to-go booze in the ‘hood AND working, like, three months straight. He’s still doing it!

The Hard Swallow
140 First Avenue between St Marks & East 9th Street
Sasha and Big Lee (and Durgy) have the sexiest rock ‘n’ roll bar in the East Village and they just added a new heated outdoor space. Stop in for ALL the attitude!

Otto’s Shrunken Head
538 East 14th Street between Avenues A & B
Looks like they may be in hibernation too but keep an eye on their web site, then head over for the best tiki drinks this side of Hawaii, complete with the little umbrellas! They created a super cute oasis on 14th with astroturf and great DJs spinning all your rockabilly, punk, new wave and rock favorites.

Beauty Bar
231 East 14th Street between Second & Third Avenues
Glam and glitter and delicious drinks!

Pink’s
242 East 10th Street just west of First Avenue
Home of Rock ‘n’ Roll Bingo, these folks were really crushing it over the summer with their frozen drinks. They’re currently promoting a 90-minute Bottomless Happy Hour for $30, which sounds like a bargain, ‘cause it comes with tacos!

Parkside Lounge
317 East Houston on the corner of Attorney
Keep an eye out for their awesome vintage neon. Stop by and visit Zofia! They’re currently applying for a roof deck and we are SO EXCITED about! Can’t wait for the warmer weather to take advantage of that! And can’t wait till they’re open for indoor action again, because their space is one of our favorites, with a pool table AND a back room for live performances. Sigh…

Club Cumming
505 East 6th Street between Avenues A & B
A neighborhood staple for outstanding performances, even during the pandemic, this little boite is always dreaming up new ways to have fun! Plus DJ Sammy Jo makes the most hilarious fliers.
