The tradition of a HOLIDAY HANG - an online community's designated space for venting, shaking out the holiday demons or occasionally even spreading cheer - was celebrated on The Motherboards for many years. We were inspired to bring it back this December: In a season that has been so trying for so many of our audiences and collaborators, we thought we'd do the Hang in person, Face To Face, in our home neighborhood.

REASONS TO BE CHEERFUL is that gathering, and will be held at one of 2016's only pieces of great news - ABBY EHMANN's new bar on Avenue B, LUCKY. Admission is free and the cash bar super reasonable. We will be collecting cash donations of any size at the bar for ZANI'S FURRY FRIENDS/ NOLA FURRY FRIENDS for their new shelter, currently being built. Our evening's soundtrack comes courtesy of JACKIE 60/MOTHER DJ ALTHEA LOVELESS and her BIG SAD CHRISTMAS and VERSAILLES ROOM GREATEST HITS playlists for the brilliant LUCKY JUKEBOX.
